The fitting desk inbox
Write to the atelier and reserve a bench
Tell the atelier what your systems must hold and where the current work snags. A short note is enough. The fitting desk reads every message and answers within one working day.
Three common questions
Asked at the fitting desk most weeks
No. A sketch of the systems you run today, a list of the rooms that hold devices and a sentence about where the work snags are enough. The fitting desk is built to turn a rough plan into a written frame, and an honest complaint about the current trouble points at the corner that is already loose. A polished deck is welcome later, once the frame gives it something true to sit on.
Most engagements pass through the benches in six to ten weeks. The fitting desk takes a day or two. Primed canvas rounds run in weekly batches, palette counsel weeks are fixed on the calendar, and varnish days come at the close of the priming run. Crit sessions and wrap evenings are scheduled in the last fortnight. The atelier states the dates at the desk so a client can plan the building around them.
Yes. The atelier is based at 5608 N Pawnee Rd, Virginia Beach - 23462-4011, United States (US), and travels across the region for fitting desks and varnish days. Remote work covers palette counsel, documentation and the numbered repairs from a crit. For a site far from the coast, the atelier arranges a longer first visit so the frame is measured on the ground rather than drawn from photographs.
